What is a Grok Bot template?
On this hub a template is either a licensed open-source PROFILE you paste, or a live x.ai/bot share you add. It is not a product for sale.
A Grok Bot template on grok-bot.app is a field card for one job: who wrote it, where the contract lives, what it is allowed to do, and how you install it.
This is a community catalog, not a store. Nothing here is sold, licensed as a marketplace SKU, or given an xAI verification badge.
Two kinds of listing (open-source first)
- Open-source PROFILE — a public contract you paste into Edit Profile. This hub’s main listings copy MIT / CC BY 4.0 files from GitHub and keep the license footer. Example: PR Reviewer from
cobusgreyling/grok-bot-templates. - Live share URL — a public
https://x.ai/bot/…page you inspect, then Add to Grok Bot. This hub catalogs the URL (CC0 lists such asdivo12/awesome-grok-bot-templates); it does not rehost the Bot internals. Example: Bouncer.
Editorial cards exist only as a thin fallback (for example Competitor Research Bot). Prefer the open-source Research Desk when you want the full contract.
What you should expect to see
- A primary task in plain language.
- Standing instructions, or a share URL plus inspect steps.
- Example tasks and expected outputs.
- Setup steps, required tools or accounts, and honest limits.
- A source URL, license, and creator — or an Editorial template label.
If any of those are missing, treat the page as incomplete.
What a template is not
A prompt dump with no boundary. A Bot that sends, pays, or deletes in week one. An xAI-official pack. A thing this site runs for you.
