How to evaluate a template before you use it
Check license, job, approval boundary, plugins, and missing evidence before you copy or add anything.
Before you copy a PROFILE or tap Add to Grok Bot:
- Does the primary task match the job you actually need?
- Is the source a licensed GitHub file (MIT, CC BY, CC0 catalog), a live
x.ai/botURL, or only an Editorial template label? - Are required tools and accounts listed — and do you want to connect them?
- Is the approval boundary explicit (L1 draft vs send / merge / pay)?
- Are limits specific, or vague “be careful” language?
- Is anything marked
[TO VERIFY],CI not found, orunverifiedstill unresolved?
Extra checks for live shares
Public shares are third-party configurations. xAI does not verify them.
- Open the share page yourself. If it is gone, skip the listing.
- List requested plugins, routines, and any send / pay / delete powers.
- Connect the smallest useful permissions.
- Prefer Bouncer as a first pass on an unknown share.
Statuses on this site are editorial labels (COMMUNITY, CURATED). They are not xAI verification. TESTED is not used unless a human recorded evidence.
Open-source text on this hub is attributed. If the live GitHub file and the copied PROFILE disagree, trust GitHub and tell us.
